EMPLOYEE GROWTH
Seeking life—your own stage.
Seeking your life’s path—your own stage—overcoming intermittent overconfidence and the chronic habit of drifting through life without effort.
On April 29, 2021, the fourth session of HITECK TALK was held as scheduled. In the previous installment, Li Chengzhang from the General Office shared insights into the digital world, guiding participants through the selection of various computer components, network configuration, and cybersecurity considerations. Today, Ren Guobo from the Production Department takes us back to a more personal focus, exploring the timeless topic of individual effort.
The sharer used his own journey of learning to paint as an example, systematically listing and addressing the various challenges he encountered along the way. He explained in detail that hard work doesn’t happen on a whim; success requires concerted effort across multiple dimensions—physical condition, mindset, time management, and emotional well-being.
If we view personal striving as a battle waged against oneself, then one’s energy is akin to the logistical support that sustains such a war—this vivid analogy explains why those who lack energy are unable to exert effort or bring about change. The discussion then delves into the different types of mindsets and the corresponding patterns of individual behavior they give rise to. Following this, the topic turns to time management, helping readers grasp its core principles, and introduces a handy technique called “structured procrastination” to tackle the problem of delay—truly packed with practical insights.
Simply managing your time isn’t enough; learning is always a long-term process, and maintaining a healthy mental state—particularly by effectively managing stress—is crucial. The instructor explained in detail how to create a comfort zone at home, helping you unwind and relieve tension during your downtime, so you can stay motivated throughout the sustained effort required for growth. I’m sure everyone found this advice highly valuable. Finally, the presenter shared several practical tips that can be very helpful: favor physical books, apply the five-second rule, and make frequent use of reference materials.
This session concluded successfully, yet many colleagues still felt it wasn’t enough. While everyone walked away with valuable takeaways, they’re already looking forward to the next exciting HITECK TALK!
